Have you Pinged yet?

I think I may have expressed my interest in music before, and I know I have mentioned that I love it when songs find me or I discover them from some random place. Being the avid Pandora listener, iTunes Genius accepter and i105.3 visitor I am game for finding new and exciting music. I also throughly enjoy checking out all the songs my friends post on Facebook. This brings me to the moment when I admit to stalking people just because they post great music (hiding in a corner).

Now, I may be with the majority when I say that I do hate how often Apple changes things. I hate every single time I get an update on iTunes and I put it off for as long as possible. This action stems from my love for the way things are. I was however once treated to an excellent gift by iTunes. This gift was the Genius. I LOVE the Genius. I live by the Genius and if you don't know what I am talking about then you should get on iTunes right now (or after you are done reading) and check it out. I was so excited to find this nifty little trick weaved into my iTunes library and the iTunes store. I believe I have worn the crap out of this element too and my wallet in the process.

Since you now have an understanding of my love for iTunes Genius, I will introduce you to my confusion of Ping. So, apparently this Ping is supposed to be a social element that iTunes offers. Yes, I'm not getting it. I will admit though, I am a little bitter that Ping took over some of the Genius prominence of iTunes. I have had this Ping since I updated to iTunes 10 and ever since I have had it, I have liked maybe two artists (meaning I am following two artists). Yea, I'm confused too.

So apparently with this Ping aspect of iTunes you are able to "follow" artists and see who they are "following". Sounds kind of like a knock off Twitter if you ask me, but maybe it has potential, I'm not convinced yet but I am trying it out and will most definitely let you all know how it goes!

In the meantime put on your favorite song, turn up the volume and sing out loud!

Music heals the soul!

State of the what?

There is much credit due to my daily laughter, but one consistently hilarious and entertaining site is The Oatmeal. I suggest you check this on a daily basis. Actually, no. You should check this on more than a daily basis. Probably an hourly basis is good because the jokes/comics NEVER get old. I am pretty sure I laugh out loud (LOL) anytime that I read any of the comics and posts. Granted some of them may not be PG or even PG-13, but trust me, if you have any sense of humor whatsoever, then read it.

I have provided you with a few hilarious take comics on, "The State of the Web" (I think this can count as my social media post for the week....)

(They actually ended up using this for Tumblr)
