This is exactly what her blog did. Read it here.
The discussion of science always seem to frighten me, but add my life and what I can do into the equation and things become a little more terrifying.
In her blog the Laws of Attraction were brought up. Although this is obviously a movie, I knew that was not what was being referred to. Instead the connection that was being made was that we as humans can basically control the things that happen around us based on our will and determination of the said thing happening. Thus, like the wonderful wikipedia definition of the Law of Attraction states, if we continue to say that we NEED more money, then that is how it will always be. Instead, we should think I WILL have more money, and so it will happen.
This concept is beyond amazing. It is eye-opening and thought changing. Since I have read my friend's blog on Tuesday night, I have continued to change the way I think about things in my head.
Another topic discussed was Noetic Theory. I, of course, knew NOTHING about this topic, and I rushed over to wikipedia (the source of all great information). While I was there I became even more enlightened. (I know, how could that happen...weird)
That is about all i am going to say for Noetic Theory, because in my opinion, this is a topic that you need to look up. It is pretty awesome.
So, what was I getting to?...........KARMA.
This was my first reaction to finishing an awesome intellectually stimulating blog post.
karma: The effects of a person's actions that determine his destiny in his next incarnation
this is not my picture.
So basically, whatever we do today, whether it be good or bad, will come back to us. Whether that be in our next incarnation, tomorrow or half a lifetime from now (that would all depend on what you believe).
I believe in Karma. I also believe that I can control most of what happens to me in my life through sending out positive thoughts into the universe.
The universe is a vast ocean filled with numerous human desires and needs. I think that the positive ones are the ones that matter, and everything else falls into the deep black hole, whatever that may be.
Believe what you want, and I will believe what I want, but no matter what we should constantly keep our minds turning and thinking an learning and growing. Without acknowledging these vast beliefs and ideas, how can we ever become a better person. We become a better person through both knowledge and acceptance.
My actions are my only true belongings.
I cannot escape the consequences of my actions.
My actions are the ground upon which I stand.
