Are you obsessed?

Along with my new Social Media class came my requirements to sign up for daily social media newsletters and websites, so I did. Interestingly enough I found an article about Facebook (Shocker, I know). The article is titled, "Are We Too Obsessed With Facebook?" you can read it here or you can just let me give you my opinion.

So let's start at the beginning (sort of).

If you lookup Facebook on UrbanDictionary, this is what you will find....

1.facebook
a stalkers dream come true

2.Facebook
An online network open to college students at certain universities. Students make up their own profiles which include a picture, name, birthdate, interests, and classes. They can then search for other students at their university or another university that has the facebook. One can add people they know or random people as their "friends."

3.facebook
the reason my papers are never done on time.

You get the point...it is addicting is what it is. I for one can accept that I am mildly addicted. I find myself aimlessly floating into Facebook land when I open my computer. Of course it is saved as a quick bookmark on my internet, thus allowing for myself to more easily venture onto the site without even meaning to....Do you do that? (Be honest with yourself)

So, Facebook was started by this super genius guy...yadda yadda yadda I am sure most of you saw the movie and know the story. If not here is the trailer, you should see it. It is a REALLY good movie.

So, what was I getting to....? These very interesting facts about Facebook from Mashable. See below for the interesting facts, they speak for themselves.

All in all, I think what i am getting at is that a majority of us are obsessed with Facebook whether we want to be or not. How many of us can actually admit it though? (not many)

Since we are all things Facebook at the moment, here is another cool video from Gizmodo. This is a video of a life on Facebook...
