Tuesdays and Music

Yesterday while stumbling around Facebook I stumbled on this fantastic song. It was the band singing it, rather it was just some people in a dorm room singing. Needless to say I liked the words enough to look up the real song on YouTube and of course LOVED it.

The Civil Wars is a band comprised of the great Joy Williams and the fantastic John Paul White. I am no music critic nor do I claim to be, but I absolutely fell in love with their sound. I have attached to of my favorite songs on the CD Barton Hollow. Once again, this is a CD that you should go and purchase on iTunes, it is worth every penny.

We built a tall, tall tower
Towards the sun, towards the sun
Took some words and built a wall
And called it love, called it love

And somewhere in all the talking
The meaning faded out
- Joy Williams
