Now, I may be with the majority when I say that I do hate how often Apple changes things. I hate every single time I get an update on iTunes and I put it off for as long as possible. This action stems from my love for the way things are. I was however once treated to an excellent gift by iTunes. This gift was the Genius. I LOVE the Genius. I live by the Genius and if you don't know what I am talking about then you should get on iTunes right now (or after you are done reading) and check it out. I was so excited to find this nifty little trick weaved into my iTunes library and the iTunes store. I believe I have worn the crap out of this element too and my wallet in the process.
Since you now have an understanding of my love for iTunes Genius, I will introduce you to my confusion of Ping. So, apparently this Ping is supposed to be a social element that iTunes offers. Yes, I'm not getting it. I will admit though, I am a little bitter that Ping took over some of the Genius prominence of iTunes. I have had this Ping since I updated to iTunes 10 and ever since I have had it, I have liked maybe two artists (meaning I am following two artists). Yea, I'm confused too.
So apparently with this Ping aspect of iTunes you are able to "follow" artists and see who they are "following". Sounds kind of like a knock off Twitter if you ask me, but maybe it has potential, I'm not convinced yet but I am trying it out and will most definitely let you all know how it goes!
In the meantime put on your favorite song, turn up the volume and sing out loud!
Music heals the soul!
